im second guessing buying the e2160, the onyl reason i want to get it is to oc it to 2.8-3.0 but ive never oced before, and my current chip is the amd on my old mobo. So.. will the 1.8 intel be enough to play the best games out now? what would it compare in performance to the amd chip? i gotta know im on a 70$ budget with a cpu. what should i do?

It might compare, stock, to a 2.4 Ghz X2 AMD. I would think it should hold it's own in most games, as long as it's not being paired with a GX2 and a high res monitor or something..
On DX9 with a decent videocard it should be able to. I can play Crysis DX9 on high on my GF's rig with a 4400+ X2 and a HIS 3870 IceQ 3. Not amazing fps, but it stays over 20 which is playable to me.
