I am doing a custom build and purchased a e2160 dual-core pentium. But i was wondering if it would be better to return it at get a pentium 4 w/ht. I am using a prescott 3.06 ghz p4 on my desktop and find it to be a very good chip. I will not be overclocking due to the clients warranty issues.
Would the p4 outperform the e2160? the PC is a family pc which will have
2 gb a-data pc6400 800 mhz ram w/heat spreaders
evga 8600gt 256mb 128-bit video card
250 gig seagate barracuda sata 3.0gb/s 7200 rpm drive
pc chips p33g motherboard using sis671/968 chipset lga775 fsb 1066
lite on ide dvd burner with light scribe + additional ide dvd-rom drive
and a ton of cooling products (2 120mm case fans, 1 80 mm case fan, hd cooling fan, pci slot case blower under video card)
