E4300 Sucks...

VIA chipsets are the worse for not locking the PCI bus, you start raising the FSB and all the hardware running off the PCI bus starts freaking out around 37/38 mhz.

Some do come with PCI/AGP locks, but most of them don't work  It just crashes your system after you enabled it in your bios.

Anyways... @oscaryu11, PCChips is just about one of the worst brand of motherboard you can get. Sure they're really cheap, but that's just cause they don't do much besides breaking down.

I think with AMD the T890 and with Intel the PT880pro and PT890 the chipset would allow the PCI bus to lock at 33.3 but alot of the boards bios didnt include it or like you say, didnt work right. It would stay at 33mhz at some FSB settings then just lose it at others.

Well it's been serving my ways very well. I can overclock fine, ect. Perfect. There's always one in an pack that works well.

Soo... Is that why my P4 2.8 sucks at overclocking an is unstable? PC Chips P25G

Ummm... that seems to be a contradiction unless you've used multiple CPUs with the PC Chips mobo. I've had a PC Chips mobo and it failed right out of the box.

Well I used an P4 2.8GHz... and only tested an Celeron D with it... PC Chips may suck, but there's always one of them that works like an dream.
