E6300 Overclocking Temps

Yesterday, i decided to overclock my computer as a school project.
BUT.......I REALIZED SOMEHTING WASN'T GOING RIGHT....
It was @ 430x7 (3.01 Ghz) and i lowered the voltage to 1.275.
I noticed some temperature problems.

At IDLE it is around 51/52.
On Load it is around 63/64.
Is that a problem?

I have changed NOTHING in the bios except for ram overvoltage to +0.3v, and the CPU voltage (undervolted).

Can someone please shine some light on this, thanks=D

Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 7
OCZ PC2-6400 800MHZ Platinum Rev. 2 Ram, 2.2V EVP
160GB Seagate HD

They are a little high, if it was me then i wouldn't be too happy but your not me. Those temps wouldn't damage the CPU, they can handle around 80C before enduring long term damage.
Have you got any case fans?

What speed is your CPU fan running at?
Also check that your heatsink is firmly on the CPU, maybe take it off and place it back on.

I have found that if you have a fan blowing air in from the side around the processor heatsink and one sucking air out the back, then that can reduce temps quite a bit.
Also a cheaper?, but just as effective option would be to buy some AC5 and place a bit under the heatsink of the CPU.

hey. thanks for your reply... the load @ 3.01ghz or 3.20 is around 68-70c, not 64, i let Prime 95 run for 8 hours..it showed up to be 70 when i got home..
i reseted the bios settings becuase it was too high of a temp.
however @ stock i get 47c idle and 55 on load, which is not that good either.. i even have a Arctic Cooling Freezer..

IS there a possibility that my CPU is defective????

I am getting my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 exchanged......and i'll see what happens next

It's no point having a very good cooler if you have no case fans for air flow. Also if you have too much/little thermal paste between the cooler and CPU, that can cause the temps to rocket.
