E6400 4Mb L2 Cache

yeah i would wait the 4m cache doesn't really make to much of a difference but by q2 the prices of e6600 are going to be lower so i think i would get that
 
The extra cache would not be noticeable unless you are the most anal of benchmarking enthusiasts or run programs that utilize it, and if you have to ask...well...figure it out....

Buy the best you can afford now, thats all you can do when upgrading, it will be out dated soon, no matter what.
