E6750 full load under bc2?

as the title says, im playing bc2 on a [email protected] with 3gig 800mhz ram and a gtx 460 768mb gpu

ive noticed that im getting 40-50fps on medium settings but my g15 is indicating the both of my cores are under 100% load.

im guessing that my cpu is holding my gpu back a bit, even if i drop the quality down to low i still get full cpu load and sam fps?

any ideas?

im gonna end up having to buy a cheap used q6600 by the looks of it :(

Thats unusual,i remember playing BC2 on my older E6300 rig with the 8800GT while my main rig was down, and even then on medium it played fine.

So is it slugish?...maybe its just early 460 drivers?...and BC2 is known for its performance problems on some machines.

Cheap?...they're still going for £80+ on Ebay used:D...expensive for a 775 processor now days but the Q6600 still keeps on going strong and seems to be able to hold its price.

the game plays absolutely fine and looks very nice but i would just like to know if there is an issue here?

full load on a dual [email protected] is a little bit unusual

i dont want to invest anymore in a dead socket setup so im a little wary of what to do next

well ive just ordered

ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium mobo
coolermaster heatsink

going to buy next
q6600 or q6700

just overclocked my gtx 460 on stock voltage (playing bc2 for 30mins now)

gpu core 800mhz
shaders 1600mhz
ram 2003mhz

im averaging 45fps+ in bc2 with every thing set to high 32xcsaa 16xaf

what a brilliant little card this is, and it can only get better as nvidia are working on driver updates for the gtx 460 within bc2 game (a little glitchy sometimes)

the cpu can handle 30-40 fps under full load. even my 750 gets loaded down quite a bit by bf bc2. i usually run the game at medium when im playing online, but that's probably because my graphics card cant handle the game.
