Question,

My cousin has the choice to change from his current E6750 to a Q6600 for no cost, is it worth it?

Will he see any benefit? is one better than the other?

Obviously one is duo and one is quad but what is the opinion here!

I think the Quad-Core processor, Q6600 is better
But this can get very involved with over-clocking and Cache and so forth
There are many E6750 Vs Q6600 on Google ;)

For average computer use a quad over a duo is no comparison for me. But, as far as overclocking and gaming is concerned, then there is a debate.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 has four processors on the chip and 8 megabytes of cache.

Cache is a small amount of memory that is much faster than primary storage RAM. It speeds overall computer performance by temporarily holding data the processor may use in the near future.

The Core 2 Duo E6750 has two processors on the chip and only 4 megabytes of cache.

He must be mad to turn this offer down...the q6600 is far better than a E6750 imo.

I love mine....theres just nothing that it struggles with.
