EA Getting on the bandwagon.

Not true at all....there is a big community of pirated servers out there for many games. This move by EA will only encourage more growth on that side of the fence.

Note that I said newer games.
I would not discuss more about this here, since I do not want this thread closed. :D

Once again it doesn't matter. New or old the game is typically bypassed and servers are up within a week if not sooner. MW2 servers were being spammed within 2 hours of game release so its a art form to people now. EA only encourages it farther by ripping people off like this.
Biggest scam imho is digital downloads. No retail, storage, media, and no ownership into a digital download, yet they charge full price still. Considering the cost cuts that game should be $30 and they would still make bank.

I agree with that but what is the answer and dont say dont buy the games because my computer would be redundant.

Its just the simple though. They are a BUSINESS they don't care about ANYONE but the stock holders and money. Take away the money and they will submit or die, not buying = only way. Unless you have $$$ to either buy the company out or enough stock to tell them how to run the company.

I stopped buying new games years ago, very few titles make it to the full price list. If I can't live without a game I will buy it used off Ebay for a 1/5th of the value. Thanks to EA I wont even be buying used games from them anymore :)

I'll be buying the game new for sure so this doesn't really affect me but I don't like the idea of buying a used game (which I do every once in a while) and not being able to fully play it. Can't say I'm not surprised about this stuff, though, with EA and Activision slowly consuming all that is good about gaming. /sigh
