Easiest way to transfer data between 2 computers, from Vista to Vista?

if they are on the same wireles router then set up a home network and share folders across the network

I agree with router and sharing. its easy enough with copy and paste and drag and drop. On the other hand FTP is something else for family and friends. From a remote location on the wan side. (access your computer from say a neighbors house. upload or download). ftp is another adventure.

Network with a router is easiest!! Way faster transfer rate than what burning or flash drive is!!

The only reason I would reccomend burning a disc would be if you're going to be copying this information over more than once. Otherwise I agree with everyone saying network. Preferably using a cable because it is much faster than wireless, but wireless might be more convenient in your case
