Ok, my mom's Win98 machine is on the brink of popping, and sometime in the near future we'll be needing a new computer. They're gonna take advice from me, so I was wondering what kind of OEM computer would be good for upgrading?

They won't let me build it
Needs PCI-e I guess - (I can always buy my own better card later)
1+ gig of ram, or 1 gig with an extra slot
Preferably a monitor, but not required.
I'd like it to be gaming-friendly.

No set budget, but $800-$900 is a ballpark number.

Main use will be daily tasks for my parents, but I want to use it for games. So, geared towards games and *possibly* a bit of light video editing. The parents couldn't tell the difference :)

Doesnt have a monitor though and it has intergtared graphics..but if you can go up to $900 then you should have some cash left to buy a better vid card.
