Hi i wonder if anyone.Has the time to look on ebay and give me advice on buying a laptop.I only want to spend up to £150.I know its not a lot but its ok for what i want it.msn.photos. I would like someone to tell me which is a good buy.As i have no idea.Thank you for your help.

i got my wife a refurbished Dell Latitude C610 for £135 + £15 P&P.
It's got a 30gb Hard drive, a 1.33Ghz CPU and 512mb RAM. Happily does Internet, office task and video/photo displays on Windows XP. Has 2 expansion slots and 2 USB ports.
Go for a refurbished laptop from a business (with say, at least 3 weeks return warranty) rather than a private seller (no protection whatsoever in case there is something they didn't tell you about the item.) Good luck!

I'd reccomend browsing the IBM think pads which usually stay quite low. It really depends if you want it to be portable or not.

Personally i like HP machines. the HP NC4200 series are very portable and durable machines. if you dont mind something heavier (and slower) look out for compaq EVO N410C or NC6000 series. Bear in mind that they are not the fastest machines on the planet and not the best build quality either.

I agree with simbeb though, refurbished with warranty is a good idea, make sure you keep any communication with the other party. Be careful with feedback, make sure they have a good reputation before you even consider bidding!!
