There is a very annoying echo that seems to be tied to every sound that my computer produces. I didn't do anything to do this, it just kinda happened one day. I've looked all around my settings and searched in my computer, and I can't seem to find any solution.

For starters it would be nice to know the model of the soundcard involved as well as other useful specs :)

My soundcard is a SoundBlaster Audigy Audio with IEEE 1394.

I have no idea what any of that means, but it might help....

IEEE stands for Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. It is a comittee that standardized technology. IEEE 1394 stands for the port or type of device. SoundBlaster is the company that made the card and the rest is the model.
