Edit videos and post on internet?

i am wanting to edit some videos and put them on to the net, like myspace. i dont know what to use and i have to compress them smaller. what software will allow me to do that? o the videos are quicktime off my camera
 
I'm actually having problems with that site. I uploaded a couple clips back a month ago and it's ready now abd finished being edited and all that. The problem is that it gave an html code to post on a website, but when i try and post it on myspace it just says the code. Does anyone know why it would say that?

Well that sucks. Is there any other way to post a video on myspace besides google?
 
yeah go to youtube.com you can post them there and use the code on myspace but i still dont know how to edit my videos. what should i use to edit them and then compress file size?

Yeah I need to do that too. Some of mine are too big and I can't post them.
