I have a heap load of original radio broadcast from the 30's. Stuff like Orsen Wells 1932 broadcast of War of the worlds (with all the commercials). Amos and Andy, lone Ranger and so on. Would anybody know what software i might use to remove the crackling you hear in the background?

Before i forget they have already been converted to mp3 and wav files.

might wanna check the spellin on that, i pretty sure u can do what u wan with it

Vizy's right. Audacity's Noise Removal effect should work pretty well for ya. Just do your work on copies of the .wav files, never the originals.
