I just read an interesting article about EKs (exploit kits) and was wondering if I should be concerned? I run free Avast and periodically scan with Malwarebytes.
Here is the article. Not sure what you mean by attack vector relating to my environment, but this is just a personal computer for personal use. Nothing sophisticated on it, just Office and a few utilities. But I also try to stay somewhat vigilant against stuff that doesn't belong on the computer.
Basically any software but mainly Flash Player, Java, your operating system, web browsers. This is why they are constantly updated. You shouldn't be any more concerned then the average user. Don't install java unless you really need it for something. Flash player will eventually be gone anyway, html5 will take its place.
