I have a eMachine T5524 that USED to be loaded with Windows Vista, but was wiped out, and had to start from scratch

I'm attempting to load it clean with Windows XP, and go through the initial loading process

At the end it BLUE SCREENS and comes up with this error:

***STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF76440BF, 0xF7A90208, 0xF7A8FF08)

*** pci.sys - Address F76440BF base at F763D000, DateStamp 3b7d855c

I had to get a hold of eMachines to try to get an update on it's BIOS, but they stated there hasn't been one

Because vista sucks!!!

To OP

Check the bios to see if you can change the sata controller from ahci to IDE or compatibility. If not you will have to slipstream the sata controller driver into a new xp install cd.

Cool, so while I'm at it, I'm slipstreaming XPSP2 as well...

I'm on eMachines' website to download their drivers

They have a Audio, Chipset, VGA, LAN, and Modem drivers

Would it be better to go to the Intel website and search for them there, and if so, where can I find out what model of motherboard is in this thing.

I've been out of the PC game for a while...so yeah, I'm sorta a n00b

The emachines website will have all the drivers for that model. If you have problems getting all the drivers installed let me know.
