Email Service

I'm going to be doing a fresh install of Vista right before I go to college so my laptop will be "clean" when I am down there. But I have a small question about email clients. Are the web based ones any good? I was checking out G-mail because that one was the one that Maximum PC Magazine reccomended (I love that magazine ). At the moment I use Windows Mail but don't really like it because its tough to access from other computers. What do you guys think I should do web based email wise.

GMail... it also offers pop and smtp servers so you can use an email client like outlook to check your email.

Of course Gmail. Not just because his mass storage, but also his smart and exact spam filtrate function.
