While a fair amount of .exe's that are on torrents and P2P apps do contain or are viruses/spyware, not all of them are. It's not true to say that any .exe file or anything with the name soft. contains a virus.

Firstly... who uses eMule???

And secondly, I would think its common sense to be extremely cautious when downloading on direct p2p systems like that. I know on limewire, there is an .exe file for anything, absolutely anything, you type, which shows just how abundant viruses are.
