hey guys well i bought this laptop at a garage. it was some ladys old work computer. well she said she didnt know the password or anything so she said maby i could fix it. well ive had it for a couple days now an i cant figure it out. its a dell inspiron 1100 with windows xp professional. it boots up. then goes straight to this program called "securedoc disk encryption" winmagic data security. well ive seearched an searched an i cant find a way to get past it or just wipe the hard drive which is what i planned on doing anyway. i really would like to not have to put another hard drive in thsi computer if i dont have to. any help woudl be great. the laptop has all the keys from dell an everthing could dell do anything? any help would be good at this point as im super stumped. thanks

well why dont you try using a bootable partion cd like PARTED MAGIC it will boot uo froom cd then you can reformat and repartion the drive which will wipe it clean including the software you mention, do you have a windows disc ?

you could try dell, but i think its usually microsoft you order replacement disks from but they will charge you for it,you can however get pre activated copies of xp and vista from sites such as u torrent and bit torrent.
