all i wanted to do was play a stupid video game...... naturally, my video card wasn't good enough. of course it wasn't. so........... i bought ANOTHER one. i must have a dozen of them at this point.

i install it... glitchy performance. any video in full screen is just annoying, even the mouse movement is glitchy. SOOOO..... i bought *another* new POWER SUPPLY. still the same old god damn problems.

NOW WHAT

do i need to buy ANOTHER motherboard or what..... MORE memory? jesus CHRIST this stuff NEVER ENDS

specs? blahblahblah WIN7, some *brand new* turboultraGFX345789 PCIE6000 videocard, a *brand new* 650w power supply, i assume a hunk of dell MOBO, DDR3459x34n memory that should be enough, a pounding headache, patches of hair missing, a lighter wallet, and YEARS of frustration.

..back to my laptop cuz i hate my desktop these days

Sorry about what you're experiencing, you should tell us every single piece of hardware you have and we can find what is the problem that's preventing you from playing your game. I personally can't help, but quite a few people on this forum can definitively help, especially the person above me. :)

Well you're starting with a Dell, so that's problem number one. And as for the rest it's kind of hard for us to figure out what's going on because you didn't post enough details about your computer.

Also what graphics card is: turboultraGFX345789 PCIE6000?

have you tried lowering the screen resolution maybe to 1024x768

OK--->! i think i'm closer to fixing this problem. my resolution was set too high apparently. it works fine on lower settings, but i can't seem to get it to fit right on the screen.

it's a GIGA-BYTE GEFORCE 9800 512MB PCIE (gigabyte gv-n98tgr-5121) card, and a 65 inch HDMI tv that i'm trying to get to cooperate. 1768x992 fits perfectly but it causes the glitchy stuff.

i re-installed the drivers, which seems to get me closer but i'm not done yet.

how do i get this to stretch out to fit the screen? i want 1024x768 ultimately

TVs are tricky to use on non-native resolutions. A lot of them will behave awkwardly when you try to run them off their native resolution. Even if it decides to work it'll look horrible and stretched out. Any reason why you want to run it at 1024 x 768?

because it seems to run smoothly. but it only fills like a 1/3 of the screen.

1920x1080 is the recommended setting but it doesn't fit quite right.. about half of the taskbar is lopped off, etc

as long as it fills up the screen, and runs smoothly i'll use any resolution. any advice?

Get a monitor?

No, it won't be 65", but unless you're Mr. Magoo, you really don't need that much real estate to play a video game.

If a monitor isn't big enough for you, then maybe go with some form of video goggles. I hear those pretty much put you inside the game.

Again, please post exact specs. This is a bit like chasing ones tail,

What exact PSU, TV, motherboard etc.

What cable are you using to connect the computer and the TV? Try using a digital cable if you are not already (DVI or HDMI).
