Energy Star info in Vista

I'm posting this here because it's mainly my 22" monitor I'm thinking about.

So, I'm about to move into my own place (with not so much money) and for the first time I'm concerned about my power consumption. I recently got a big Gateway display, and it doesn't specify that it's Energy Star compliant.

I seem to remember in older versions of Windows, hardware would tell the computer whether or not it was Energy Star compliant and it'd show in device manager, but I don't see that now.

Anyone know how I can check up on that? Or maybe just a database somewhere of products that meet the most recent requirements?

If I have to exchange this at Circuit City they'll want 15% for "restocking."

Thanks

Use candles and never turn on a light. :D

On a serious note, I never really knew monitors to be energy hogs, and I'm sure if you bought it recently, it would be. However I am unaware of where to check to find this out. I'll do some research unless someone else has the answer.
