Enough RAM?

Hi all.

I am fairly new to this forum, so please don't pick on me ;).

I am currently in the process of essentially rebuilding my PC, to a "steam machine" as I have heard them being called. I will be running low to mid tier games, highest demanding game probably being bf4. My current set up is as listed:
-Dual 19" HP Monitors (not sure of the specific specs, but they're good enough for me).
-500GB SSD Hard drive.
-Geforce GTX 960 GPU
-Gigabyte motherboard (not sure of specific model, runs well though).
-Intel core I3 2100 CPU (will be upgrading in the future to an i5, if its worth it? Let me know).
And finally 4GB which is my question. Is 4GB RAM good enough? I've heard from my co workers that I should definitely get another stick of 4GB to up the performance, but I've also read that it isn't essential. As I am on a budget, is it worth it? Or shall I just put the extra $60 bucks towards the CPU? I do not live in the states and because of that a 4GB stick of RAM is sadly $60 dollars local $, upping to around $70 USD...yes I know I know.

Please give me as much feedback as you can as I do not want to have to buy some further down the road. Thank you very much!!

The i3 2100 should play those games you mentioned without any problems. You also have a good graphics card. If you are on a budget, the most cost effective way to boost performance is more RAM.

Here is a link with your CPU specifications.

Latter when you have more money, purchasing an i5 will definitely add performance to your system.
Yeah I figured the CPU would boost performance by quite a bit. So I should infest in some more RAM? I was looking at some and found HyperX Fury 16GB to be pretty good, as I could get at a good price from Amazon. Any knowledge of HyperX? And would 16GB be a good long term replacement to my current 4GB?

I wouldn't go with anything less than 8 GB. If you don't have any particularly 'heavy use patterns' then you likely wouldn't notice a difference from 8->16

Kingston generally produce good solid RAM. And yes, 16 GB is a good long term investment.

edit: Memory specs for your CPU are DDR3 1066/1333 RAM. DD3 1600 will work in your system, and if you can get it at a good price then OK.

Okay thanks for the info!
