Whats the differences between Enterprise drives and Normal drives?

I know some have SCSI and SCSI is getting phased out,

I also know that they make alota 10k and 15k drives for enterprise drives

but for 7,200rpm alota the enterprise 7,200rpm performance is worst than those of normal 7,200 drives.

like the Samsung F3 is alot faster than most if not all enterprise 7,200rpm drive.

So my question is are Enterprise hard drives made to be more reliable? or something?

Enterprise drives generally are supposed to be more reliable but they sometimes also come with extra features (ie at least 1 brand has a built in hardware encryption system)

As Cromewell said, they generally tend to be more reliable. Usually enterprise drives come with a 5 year warranty as opposed the 3 year warranty with standard drives. The performance isn't any better than the faster consumer drives. Also, many consumer drives have error checking issues in RAID arrays.
