equipment requirements

I have a p4 desktop and am thinking of going prepaid wireless broadband.The ISP provides the modem and I have an ethernet adapter do I also need to fit a wireless card?
Grateful for advice.

I don't believe that you need to..., you should just have the ethernet cable running from the modem to your desktop and it should be fine. Now, if your desktop is in a different room than the modem, then you either need to get a longer cable or get a wireless router and wireless card to go with it. But that's only if your computer is too far away from the modem to use the ethernet cable.
