couldnt you write down the key and reg code , download a pirated version and type in your legit info instead

but that would be illegal, do you not have a spare XP disc from another computer you have, as if it is the same version you can just reinstall using that, but your CD key, or borrow a XP disc off someone (i don't think that would be illegal, as long as you used yourown CD key)

Isn't that similar to just downloading one? I mean regardless of whether or not the other cd is owned by them it's still not the cd that was designated to the cd key they would be using.
