error code when installing vista

Wen i try to install Vista i get this error code (i have cut parts out, its a fatal error)

stop: c000021a

0-00000000 (0xc0000001 0x0010034c)

I get this sortly after starting the install from both a clean install and an upgrade.

Can you help?

Tell me a little about your system. Is it a new system? Or an older system in which you are trying to upgrade from XP to Vista?:confused:
 
Ive tried both upgrading and a fresh install. I have a msi K9NGM motherboard with 1 GB of memory (which was recently replaced so its not that) ive tried both sata drives and ide drives. i have a AM2 AMD 64 X2 4200?

It's truly possible the media could be bad.

I built a system last December for a client using XP MCE 2005 OS, the system was all new of course because I built it! Directly from my vendor here in So. Cal.

I soon discovered that the media was bad. In some strange way it didn't install. Being that I am a partner for Microsoft I called them, they said it's got to be the media. Sometimes the disc's are bad.

You need to go back to whom you bought the disc from and ask them to get you a replacement... this way you can install the software.
