Error in dual boot?

Hey guys,

i installed windows and ubuntu on my comp, and for some reason after i select windows in the grub os selector, another option comes up asking if i want to load "windows xp" or "windows xp"... thats not a typo on my part. One of the options loads windows and one returns an error. This annoys the hell out of me, anyone had this problem?

Easy fix, in fact I literally JUST fixed this problem on my brothers computer.

Go to start> control panel> performance and maintenance> system> advanced> startup and recovery settings.

Click edit. Notepad will open up, click file>save as, and save it somewhere like your desktop. Then it will say something like

[boot loader]
timeout=3
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Media Center Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Media Center Edition" /noexecute /fastdetect

You should be able to delete the second one, aka

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Media Center Edition" /noexecute /fastdetect

click save (not save as) and restart your computer and it will no longer as which windows xp you want to load.

If it still asks which windows xp you want, youl have to wait for someone else to respond, I dont want to screw up your boot!
