error loading the operating system?!?!?!

well i get home today and my computer wont boot to windows..i get a message saying "error loading operating system" and it just stays in that screen..when i tried to reformat and put a fresh copy of win xp on it there comes up numerous errors and it cant continue...can anyone help me please!!!!!! should i try a new harddrive or try resetting the cmos
 
omg i fixed it....i think it was my ide cables, they are pretty messed up..it was all twisted and stuff. So i switched it and bam it works...

now is it me or am i the only one in the freaking world that gets problem after problem with my pc...heh, oh well damn it feels good to be back on here

its more likely they just came unplug. but atleast you fixed it good job.
