Error Message at Start-Up

Just turned on newly built computer and the following message is on the screen:
"AHCI BIOS not Installed"

"CMOS Checksum error - defaults loaded"

What do I do??

How many hard drives are in your system? Running raid setup or Ahci? Sounds like the cmos battery may be bad and not saving your settings?

I would try replacing the CMOS battery. I have got both those errors on pcs before and by replacing the cmos battery it solved the problem.

Is the CMOS battery the one on the MB? If so, is it unusual to have to replace it when the MB is brand new?

It could have a bad battery though. It's not normal but could happen.
