error ....not enough space on hd

Im lost now. its an old win-dvd proggy im trying to install.
i get error : 'There is not enough space on drive c:/ to extract this package. Please free up 12.84 mb and click retry'.

this computer has a 250 gig hd. im only using 26 gig. the program is less than 13 meg. Any ideas? ive already tried to reboot. hd works fine. don't know what to look at.

Ok..........i got it for what ever reason. if you have any idea please reply.
Only thing i did is some housekeeping. ccleaner and defrag and ran chkdsk /f.
Oh well.

The hard drive is 250GB but how many partitions have been made? Maybe you have 2 partitions, one C:/ and a D:/ drive. Where C:/ has been setup as only 26GB or something.
