Error while updating diablo 2...

I just bought diablo 2, i tried to use the battle net, and it started updating patches. WHen it finishes it says "Patch cannot be updated because the patch file is corrupt File Name D2DV_IX86_1xx_111b.mpq"
and another saying that the nv4_disp driver stopped working normally.
How do I fix this so i can play on the battlenet?

I appreciate any help on this matter.
 
diablo 2 is really old, well not really, but like 2000. so check with the site if the patches are still updated timely and if their server if still running. are other people still playing on it? I assume they are since you are trying to get on.

but like hawk said, you can try reinstalling it.
 
accually, diablo 2 is one of blizzards main games still. They patch it regularly and there are alot of players

yea i know. but diablo 2 is really old. like 5 years. i just assumed that they had come out with 3 or something already
 
^i and so many others wish... check out ebay for diablo 2 useast. people still sell stuff it's crazy
 
Diablo 2 lords of destruction is what everyone plays. Well there is like 150k playing that and 50k playing 2. They just had a update couple weeks ago. so they still keep track of it.
