Error

I have a windows 2000 computer. I just came back from china and it doesnt work when i turn it on. The computer turns on but then it goes to a screen where there is a white cursor on a black background screen. It just stays there. I tried pressing keys and nothing happens. I presses ctrl+alt+del but it just restarts and goes to the same page. Any ideas of how to fix it?
 
give u a boot selction... well im sorry to tell u but it looks like a windows reinstall for u, do u no how to or do u need help?

i know how to....but i need to get the files i had in the hard drive somehow
 
get a floppy...
go to my comp
fight hand click floppy drive
click format, in the prep dilog chech the box beside make boot disk

do this on a working comp (ie the one your usin now)

ok so i got the hard drive in the other comp but when i try to open it, it says that it is not formatted and if i would like to format it? Then it tells me all data on the drive will be erased. Is there any way to save the data before reformatting?
