Just bought an ecs pt800ce-a board.say's p4 cpu's and celeron ,northbridge and wilemette cpu's w/512mb L2 cache.Was wondering if a p4 3.4 ghz w/1mb L2 will work?
Is there a big difference in the L2 cache 512k versus 1mb for gaming or dvd/video playback?which cpu would anyone recommend?plan on running 2gb ram-a good 256mb video card-sata hard drive w/large storage.Will also be used for burning Thanks Again

I concurr with Cromewell however do note that should you buy the Pentium4 3.2Ghz procrssor, the motherboard would probably end up bottlenecking it: firstly, the Via chipset is both old and is nothing spectacular.
