Ethernet connection problem

I just reformatted my HD and installed a fresh copy of XP pro on my machine. Now I can't get it to connect to my DSL. I check the hardware profile and the Ethernet adapter is seen. When I plug the cable in, the led turns on for the plug. I tried to run the software cd from Verizon but it is not able to connect to there site. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
 
What is your motherboard??? You guys need drivers for natardja, pls create your own thread.

To find out your motherboard, download CPU-Z and you can find the info out from that.
 
But do you know what brand is your motherboard? If you open your Computer you will see the model and brand of your motherboard or if your computer is a branded you must at least know the model of your computer to know all the details.
