Ethernet questions

Hi, I'm new to this site and my intertnet connection is so slow it took me an hour to finnaly get here. You see we use a wireless adapter and it sucks. so getting to the point I've heard a LOT about ethernet, people saying its the best. So I did some research and testing and found out that it pretty much is. the only problem is I have no idea where to start on getting. help would be appriciated. Thanks

If you are using wireless, how far away are you from the router? A wired connection with ethernet cable is always the best but wireless should not be giving you this issue.

I'm about 50 or 60 feet bellow my router on this computer(downstairs) and about 30 or 40 on my gaming computer(upstairs and that won't even take wireless)

Most likely you are too far away from your router, the signal would have to go through walls and floors. What is the model of router and wireless adapter you have? If you can run an ethernet cable to where you are and hook up another router and use it to extend your wireless. Very simple to do.
