Ethernet works half the time?

Ok so i reformatted my computer and put windows xp dual booting with ubuntu. I never had a problem with the ethernet port until now. Now the ethernet port only works on every other boot in windows xp but works fine with ubuntu.
Have any clue?

If you reformatted XP then old drivers may of been installed, try updating the drivers for your ethernet.

Drivers are up-to-date.

You could try updating the firmware, maybe?

It's not firmware since it works with linux, it's a problem with xp.

Try repairing the windows xp installation using the installation cd. Or try using windows update to see if you have all available updates.

You can try Start > run "sfc /scannow" and then "chkdsk" b4 you do the repair.
(For sfc /scannow you need your OS CD in the cdrom).
