We recently moved house, and for no reason that I can figure my email program (Eudora) decided that it wanted to have a fit and cease recognizing that I had an online connection. I managed to work through to the point where I can make it download email, but it still won’t send. Can anyone suggest what the issue might be – or why a computer that hasn’t had anything changed throw a fit over a change of location? The error I get when I try to send is ‘550 authentication required’. We’ve used Earthlink for the last 6 – 7 years, so we haven’t even changed ISP.
I tried reinstalling Eudora, which didn’t work either, but I’m getting a pop up that I never saw before – ‘Eudora was unable to update the system registry. Your default mail program has not been changed.’
Any ideas, anyone?
