evercool 80x80x15 fan

I have a Sunbeam 550 Wattage PSU and the back fan broke. I ordered a fan from jab-tech.com. The fan i got is an Evercool. http://jab-tech.com/Evercool-80x80x15-EC8015TH12B-pr-3272.html

I was just wondering if it is good for the back of a PSU.

Well, have you checked there is enough space to put it in the back of the PSU? How will it receive power?

Yeah, if you mount the fan externally on the case, then you might get enough heat away from the PSU. But, you would probably be better off just replacing the whole PSU for $80, 'cause probably something else will fry soon too without the proper fan on the PSU. So, I guess I'm really saying no, but if you want to push it, then yes...

Most if not all PSU fnas are hardwired into the PCB, to change them you have to snip the wires half way between the board and the fan, then strip the wires back and join them on, double check witha voltmeter that 12v is coming out of the PSU fan wires.
