every folder has turned to a shortcut?

just reformatted my computer, theres nothing on it and I have the drivers on a pen drive.

I put the pen drive into the machine and all of the folders are just shortcuts? as is my music / my pictures that already on the computer?

When I write click on any of them it comes up with

- Test
- Configure
- Install
- Sent To >
- Cut / Copy etc etc

Any idea how to fix this?

So all the icons were fine before inserted the pendrive? And are these shortcuts showing up on your computer or on the pendrive?
