I just put together the rest of my computer, when i boot it up it does not recognize my HD(in sig) it is a SATA HDD. This is my first build, can some one walk me through how to get it to recognize my HDD so i can get on with my life.

Thank you!

PS:im downloading the drivers atm so see if that helps, but like i said this is my first time building my own comp.

Do you have a HDD working in it at the moment? I'd get the latest drivers from the EVGA web-site and see if they help any.

no, this is the first time it has been put together. Only one HDD. I have the evga drivers disk that came with it, how do i install it w/out windows being installed? I cannot install windows because my HDD is not being detected. I also downloaded the newest drivers and burned them to a CD.

Make sure you have the cable (sata/IDE) firmly plugged in on the mobo and at the back on the HD.
Un-plug and re-plug them in, also make sure you have plugged the sata/molex power cable into the hd as well.

I am unsure of the features of your mother board but make sure you have it in the primary sata controller on your motherboard and make sure in the bios all harddrives controllers are turned on.

I have tried that, many times.

PS: i forgot to say this, but it recognizes my DVD drive and it is also SATA.

Ok so i fixed the problem. I had double checked the wires but apparently that wasnt good enough lol. Checked em a third time and what do you know it worked.

Well thank you guys for the help.
