Evga gtx 970 ssc

Hi,

I am trying to understand my video card and need some help from people with more experienced with them. I recently bought this video card:

It says Core Clock, does that mean it should be running at that speed all all times? Also it is a 4gb Card but under Memory, Size it says 2GB, is it because this is a pci 3.0 slot card running on a 2.0? I am a bit confused. If someone can provide me some information, that would be great! Thanks!

Don't know about the amount of memory. But the card down clocks when not under load. Has nothing to do with the PCIe slot

You'd probably be better off verifying against GPU-Z instead.

I checked under specs on the site and it says 4GB of memory

yeah, use gpu-z to see what it says
