Well I noticed that SirKenin seems to rate this program highly for spyware protection so I was wondering if this really is as good as goold ol' SirKenin says so? . Also, is this it free? Hard to install/configure to a beginner with the application or is it simple enough for any old joe to install and configure? Anyone got the official website address handy?
If you are familiar with AdAware SE Personal Ewido is the thing that catches the data miners that AdAware misses while AdAware catches what Ewido misses. And there is plenty of stuff that will slip by both of those. That's one reason AVG 7.1 Free Edition is one thing added along with the other two freewares. Ewido is now owned by Grisoft who also makes AVG free and Pro versions.

A word of advice is never to count on "any" program 100%! They haven't come out with one yet that can catch everything. Spybot Search + Destroy, Webroot's Spy Sweeper, and several others will catch this or that while the ones named here will catch other things.
