Hello Everyone
I have an nMedia HTPC case, and it has 2 places in the back panel for 60mm exhaust fans. The ones it came with suck and one has malfunctioned so I decided to buy good quality fans.
I have this motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128379
It contains one three pin connector labeled NB_FAN. I assume this is for the optional Northbridge fan.
It contains another four pin connector labeled SYS_FAN. It it isnt like a molex on a PSU, more like one of a CPU fan.
My question is can someone help me find low noise fans that can help me reduce temps internally. Also, I want to reduce cable clutter as much as possible so connecting direct to 4 pin molex power from PSU isn't my most ideal choice.
I have 2 60mm old fans by MassCool but they suck. I tried connecting them to the onboard connectors and one runs fine on NB, but the other one makes a chugging sound that is connected to the SYS.
Any Ideas would be much appreciated.
Also for reference.
I have this case.
