I would like to use the exim program in debian to be my email server on VPS. I do not wish to get domain name until I understand things better. To start simple, I installed package exim4. Now, what settings should I change? Please help. It seems the configuration files are in /etc/exim4/conf.d/? If I run update-exim4.conf --output file test1.txt, will it do anything besides write the file? I hope it has text mode. When I ran firefox, Error: no DISPLAY environment variable specified. I hear to fix this error, I should use SSH client with Dynamic application level forwarding (SOCKS5). I do not understand all those big words. Can someone please give me the code to put in my terminal?
