Expanding the wireless signal

Hello all,
My uncle has a big home, and he has a wireless D-Link Access Point, and he asked me if I can expand the signal so that he can sit with his laptop at the other side of the home and can connect to the Internet via the wireless router,
so how can I expand the signal?

Wireless repeators.. they rebroadcast the signal. Or wireless range extendor. Same thing.

is the D-link a g signal? Thats all you need top consider.

you could build a cantenna

A cantenna, well as far as I know, is a very direct and concentrated signal. Unless you're trying to go from AP to AP, it's probably best to use a more traditional, higher gain antenna.

or he could move the access point to a more central location of the house (if it isn't already)
