Expensive mobo or not?

Dude, that motherboard is pretty expensive, it's a good motherboard, you know how good the Gigabte 965P-(D)S3's are? Well, they were £70 when I got it, so I think that'd be a great choice for you! :)

yeah it does look impressive doesnt it,Espcialy how it has 2x Pci-e slots so i could go SLI:)

but i probably wouldnt anyway.

I like Asus boards though and would probably choose an Asus board over any other.

Well i bought the cheapest motherboard i could. (35£) and what i got is a quality board that has overclocked the hell out of my RAM and CPU, and has working SLI so maybe cheap is sometimes chearful.

I will not choose the 650i chipset. If you have the ££ for SLI, you should have choose the 680i chipset so that both PCIEx16 run at full speed!
Or if you don't have enough cash for 680i, just go back for those intel P35 chipset and instead.

If you want a Low-budget mobo, then the ASRocK would be a good brand. I have it, and it's pretty good.

thanks for the suggestion...im looking more for Asus boards because they are great.

It depends on what your going to do with it

Family - cheap
Workstation - mid range
OCing - high end

well it will be a gaming rig but i would also like to be able to overclock at a later date once the warranty is up.
thats why im going for the Q6600 GO
