must be. i hear pentium d is a bit of a power hungry processor. anyway. i was wondering if it is possible to get a suitable psu for up to £25, and if so which 1? if not, i will have to settle for a cheapo and populous: the beginning. im sure i'll survive. again, thanks for all the help.

Your in england apparently, so overclockers is prolly the best place to order from. For your budget though.. thats tough, i dont think overclockers even has a power supply that cheap, let alone a decent one. This is the closest one that was decent to your budget:
