Why does it take forever and a day for a web page to come up when I type the address in the address bar? I will wait almost five minutes for the site to pop up. I can do a search and get there faster. I am using advanced browser for the time being and it works great! Whats up with IE 6.

It is awsome. not as many problems like IE. Only problem is I have to keep IE aroud cause Fire FOx doesn't support activeX yet and wont do windows update. Check those things though.

Lets see if i can help here. ditch IE 6. Download Maxthon Same but yet better with compleat Active X support and pop up and add blocking.v Tabed also. Try it i think your problems will go away.

netscape solved all my problems the interface is a lot better...i kept getting error screen after error screen with ie explore

first of all STOP using IE and download fire fox and configure your system for it to be your default browser....next, since you've been using IE, chances are that your system may have sum sort of spyware/adware/virus, run and adware/spyware scan, you can get free scans on most adware/spyware remover sites..eg stopsign. IF your pc is infected use the nessecary tools to remove it or reformat your drive and reinstall windows.!

Why would you remove it? Keep it. You will see that some webs will not load due to requiring ActiveX or so. Then you will regret removing it. I am not sure, but I think the level of integration of Internet Explorer into the OS is so big that it is basically impossible to remove it. You can always get rid of the I.E. icon on the desktop and you can feel like it has gone

If you are on XP it's not possible to vanish it from your computer. It's basically integrated into the workings of the OS. Theres alot of ways to disable it and close it out, no longer have it as default and remove the links to it...but uninstall will screw your OS if you figure out how to permanenatly remove it i think. it's needed when u first install XP i think for alot of things...and any other browser is simply no accepted until you use IE6 to download it i think. kinda sucks...
