Explorer Freezing and then an error comes up

Just recently when I try to copy documents from one folder on one drive to somewhere else on the same drive right when I click that copy button explorer freezes and I have to go into task manager and run it again. Why would this be doing that? Would this also explain problem number 2 when I try burning a full 700mb disc and when I put one file that is even as small as 1kb it says cannot burn and I get another error?

Sometimes I just really hate windows.
 
No, just now I got cpu-z real quick and I tried moving it and it froze. Also, with music files too. The other error is that when I insert a CD it says I have 700mb free but when I drag even a text file over an error comes up saying I have no space left. I put in a dvd and same thing. I have burned stuff in this before.
