Express Card to PCI adaptor?

I was looking for an adapter from a PC express card to a PCI slot for a possible external graphics card/excelerator for my laptop and found this:

I thought I found my answer, but there like $900 +, so, does anyone here know of any other alternative methods of adding a PCI slot to a laptop for a graphics card (external)?

I don't think your can add an exteranl graphics card to a notebook, that's always been the downside to them.

That's the first item I've seen that can do something like that... I don't think you're going to be able to find something like that for very cheap, just not a high enough demand...

Those prices on everything is so high, that must be a joke...

Personally that is cheap to some of the ones I have seen. There is no options under 700 bucks for those.

Might be a good time to look into a real gaming rig and go PC. For the price your gonna pay for a PCI slot you could build a quad-core gaming system that would double/triple the performance of your sig.

true, but i was just looking into alternative options for my laptop. thanks.

Plus with the one you posted you're not going to get much performance out of a regular PCI or PCI-e x1 slot. That's a lot of money to drop for quite frankly abysmal performance.

The Asus would be a decent choice I suppose if your REALLY needed it, but still a lot of money to drop instead of just saving for a laptop with decent graphics. Or take the 300 and try to sell the laptop you've got and see what that gets you.

I don't really know of any other options. The external card things never really have hit the market. They come and go from things like CES and such, but never seem to get to market.
